U.S. Government Inks $3.2 Billion Contract With Pfizer-BioNTech for Vaccine Booster Campaign
The U.S. government has signed a $3.2 billion COVID-19 vaccine supply agreement with Pfizer and BioNTech for 105 million doses.
The agreement may also include doses of an Omicron-adapted vaccine for adults, subject to FDA authorization.
“As the virus evolves, this new agreement will help ensure people across the country have access to vaccines that may provide protection against current and future variants,” said Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.
The companies plan to deliver doses as soon as this summer and will continue into the fourth quarter of this year.
